Welcome to Karen’s Yoga Blog!

Thanks for visiting! I am delighted to share my thoughts and discoveries about the art, science and philosophy of Iyengar Yoga. Visit this blog for ideas about practice, notes from workshops with senior Iyengar Yoga teachers, and reflections about how yoga can help and support us in the art of living. You can also check the August 2008, 2010 and 2016 archives for entries about my visits to the Ramamani Iyengar Yoga Institute (RIMYI) for yoga study with the Iyengar family in Pune, India.

May your practice flourish to benefit all beings!

Namate,
Karen

Karen, I think about you almost daily as I practice yoga. I can hear your sweet, calm voice reminding me of the details of each pose, and especially your mesmerizing mantra during savasana. When I think about you going forward, I will add my daily wishes for your good fortune.

Karen: I am sorry I could not make it to yoga last week. The Glee for Adults group I am in was performing yesterday and we had rehearsals every night. It sounds as if you are remaining very positive, with some bouts of anxiety and fear, which is, of course, completely to be expected and natural. I took a class with Colleen on Saturday and left you a few books at the studio that I thought you might enjoy, some of which you may have already read. Each is inspirational in its own way. Please let me know what I can do to help support you through this healing process. I am sending you love, hugs and positive thoughts. Fondly, Kim

I am delighted to hear such a positive result ( a negative test result) ! hang in there with the more passive aspects of healing, it isn’t easy to have patience with that part. hugs to you Karen!
